Particularly, the daughter's cries for help and the mother's desperate but futile resistance shake the viewer's heart.

Both the mother and daughter have pretty, cute faces, and seeing them treated as toys is irresistibly appealing despite the evil nature. The contrast between the daughter's remaining J-like youthfulness and the mother's highly sensual aura adds depth to the work.
