Aizawa-san is bright and lively with a gal-like vibe, while Honda-san is serious and studious but unexpectedly fond of games, starting with scenes of the three having fun together.
As an original fan, I was satisfied with the overall faithful reproduction. The characters' personalities and story flow were solidly recreated, especially Aizawa-san's energy and Honda-san's inner kindness being well expressed. However, one point that caught my attention was the scene at the end where Mei and Asahi, and Soma and Ki have sex at home. In the original, they skip school to go to the pool, resulting in Mei and Soma getting sunburned, but in this work, that detail was missing—they weren't sunburned. I wished for more attention to detail here, which felt a bit disappointing.
The performances of the actresses were also noteworthy. Misono Waka-san has become slimmer with a sharper, more beautiful face, and on the package, I momentarily mistook her for another actress.
